17 Drawers with exclusive Extreme Tools® features
You’ll notice the quality in every element, starting with the seventeen drawers. Each one rides on the smoothest heavy-duty ball-bearing slides, so drawers open and close easily, with just a touch. The slides are full-extension, so you’ll never be rummaging blindly at the back of the drawer — you’ll always be able to see and reach the contents. And our patented quick-release self-latching drawer pulls mean that the drawers will stay securely closed when you’re moving your roller cabinet.
Heavy duty construction, built to handle the weight
Each drawer can handle plenty of weight — up to 200 lbs. in drawers with double slides, and 100 lbs. in drawers with single slides. The wheels can handle a lot, too — there are four 6″x2″ Mag Wheel casters, load-rated at 900 lbs. each. Two of the wheels are locking swivels and two are rigid casters.
The two extra-wide drawers are constructed with welded support brackets, so they will not sag or warp, even under the weight of heavy or bulky tools that you will store in them.
The box features heavy-duty steel frame construction in a 72-inch wide, 21-inch deep cabinet that is built to last, even when you load it up with all your tools. Also, we’ve included premium PVC drawer liners, to protect your tool investment.

DX Series
What makes the DX Series Extreme?
Innovative, creative thinking is where Extreme Tools® starts its product development process. Our goal was to make a professional self-latching drawer pull at a more affordable cost. Our efforts were a success! We re-created and patented the DX Series Quick Release drawer pull. This line of drawer pulls is strong, sturdy and made from powder-coated steel so that they last. The DX Series drawer pulls fasten across the front of the drawer so that the handle never pulls away from the drawer or bends when you pull on it. We use heavy-duty steel hooks to hold the drawers closed so that you do not have to worry about them opening if you move your tool box. Plus, our patented design still allows you to open the drawer from anywhere on the drawer pull with just one hand.
Like our other series, Extreme Tools® tool boxes always start with a strong base. The DX Series roller cabinet frame is constructed from 14-gauge steel so it can handle the weight of your tools. Then, we outfit it with our exclusive Mag Wheel casters which can hold up to 900 lbs. each to support your loaded box.
The drawers are constructed from heavy-duty, powder-coated steel so that they hold up whether they are in a professional setting or at home in your garage. We included two extra long drawers and two extra deep drawers to accommodate tools both long and bulky tools. Each drawer can hold 100 lbs. if it has single slides and up to 200 lbs. if it has double slides.
Extreme Features
In addition to roller cabinets, the DX Series offers Extreme Power Workstation® hutches and side lockers. The patented design of our hutch assembles easily on the DX roller cabinet and features an adjustable shelf with laser cut openings to hold and organize a variety of small hand tools. The shelf is equipped with an attached power strip that houses two USB ports and is engineered to hold a variety of accessories: socket holder, media/tech holder with charging pad, and power tool rack. The side and back panels are constructed from powder-coated steel peg board which allows you to hang tools and equipment. Matching side lockers come with 4 adjustable/removable shelves to accommodate both large and small items.
To protect the DX tool boxes, we use a specially formulated AkzoNobel powder coat finish that resists chemicals, scratches, rust and stains. This high-quality powder finish allows Extreme Tools® to offer a variety of color combinations to suit a wide range of tastes.
As it is with all our tool boxes, Extreme Tools pays attention to the extras that make a difference. A side handle and PVC drawer liners are always included. We also provide a PVC laminated MDF work surface to protect the top of the roller cabinet. And, when it is time to lock it up, we installed a secure, tubular coded lock with two keys, so your tools stay safe.
